Older people find it difficult to digest most restaurant food

Young people can easily digest almost all food available in restaurants without adversely affecting their health. However it is observed that as a person grows older, it is more difficult to digest the food offered in restaurants. Even a simple veg rice plate from a reputed restaurant can cause indigestion as it appears that some additives are added, which are normally not present in home cooked food.
The problem is severe for senior citizens above the age of 75, so they should cook simple food at home.
Another problem faced is that it is difficult to find out the quantity of food and how spicy it will be, before placing an order, as each food outlet has its own specifications
In some places, water is also not served, so if food is very spicy, it can create a problem.
